Harry Kane has broken another England record by lining up for the Three Lions against Serbia.
The England captain led the line once again for his side’s opening Euro 2024 game on Sunday night, flanked by Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden, with support from Jude Bellingham providing an exciting attacking line-up.
Already his country’s top goal scorer in its history, the 30-year-old was looking to add to his 62 international goals after leading England out in Gelsenkirchen.
He surpassed former defender Ashley Cole in breaking another record for his country on Sunday, however, simply by stepping out onto the pitch.
It marked Kane’s fifth international tournament, having made his debut in 2015, going onto play at Euro 2016, the 2018 World Cup, Euro 2020, the 2022 World Cup and now Euro 2024.

Kane registered his 23rd major tournament appearance when the whistle was blown for kick-off on Sunday, the most of any player ever.
The previous record was held by Cole, who played 22 times across three World Cups (2002, 2006 and 2010) and two European Championships (2004 and 2012).
Kane has been an ever-present with England since scoring on his debut against Lithuania, being appointed captain before the 2018 World Cup and leading the Three Lions ever since.
